EcoTweaks UPDATE: Alpha Testing

After 9 months of design and development, EcoTweaks is heading into alpha testing!

It's a huge moment. Developing EcoTweaks has been such an incredible journey of learning, not only technically but on a personal level too. After working in a corporate environment for 5 years, launching into self-employment and tackling all the challenges that come with that has made me a more resilient, appreciative, and motivated person than I ever thought I could be. That has been one of the best things I've learned this year.

On the technical side, EcoTweaks development has involved creating a full-stack application from a blank slate, and I didn't realize how much I would enjoy that! I have learned a myriad of languages, tools, and techniques to create the app and would love to share some of my learnings through blogs and tutorials to empower indie developers like me to create what is in their hearts. Watch this space!

For now, we are heading into alpha testing with a group of amazing people who are offering their time to improve what we've created, and after some iteration, I am optimistic that EcoTweaks will be coming to a mobile near you in early 2025. If you are someone who cares about reducing their impact on the environment in a way that doesn't add any extra effort to their life, this one is for you.
